Breakfast Update

290720091034-001 Another week passed really fast again. For those who always said that college life is relaxing, AUSMAT program is seriously not relaxing. Like when will all the truckload of homework and assignments stop flowing in??

So, the week went by as usual with lots of homework and assignments piling up on my desk but on Wednesday, some of us from the AUSMAT July class went to celebrate one of our classmate, Phoebe’s birthday at Red Box.

I am going to get a haircut tomorrow.

Chef at Work

Wah, today I cooked pasta with onions, Norweigian salmon, tomatoes, white button mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, spring onions and parmesan cheese. And aha, what a tasty success! 260720091004This morning, I made pancakes for breakfast. The last pancake looked like an old lady with a big backside bending over and looking at her shoes.260720091000And now, I shall get back to my Chemistry assignment.

Update from Casa Subang

18072009967This is how my room looks like now. My roommate, Wun Yhee and I went to buy new curtains for our room. Nice leh but everyone who saw our room said that it is so pink.24072009975That is my roommate walking and one of my classmates, Daniel, sitting on the floor.
24072009978Then I got a mugshot taken in class during Physics. 24072009979Another of my classmates, Eric, who took the photo above.19072009968This week I made fried rice and invited Cordelia to join me for lunch that day.20072009971I made chicken porridge with mushrooms and cabbage.  25072009988This is my co-chef/dishwasher during the weekends. On weekdays, just my dishwasher who eats my cooking. Name shall remain undisclosed to maintain my mental health.24072009981On Friday, after college in the evening and grocery shopping, we made curry and vegetables. 25072009996Today, I fried long beans with eggs for dinner while my co-chef/dishwasher steamed fish. 25072009991 I boiled barley with red dates and winter melon today. I think it tastes great. ^_^V 25072009989This is how my fridge looks like. All of the food belongs to my roommate and I because only the two of us cook. Tomorrow I will be cooking spaghetti with tomatoes, mushroom, chicken and cheese for my classmate and dishwasher.

Thursday

Snapshot taken during Chemistry lab session, luminol. Cool eh?

I made spaghetti for dinner today… then freeloaders came.

It’s a Friday tomorrow. Woohoo?

Tuesday In Sunway

I had my first attempt cooking tofu and… a boy came to my rescue because apparently I was cooking tofu the unorthodox way (not frying it beforehand). I should sit and think about that.

But my chicken porridge yesterday evening was a success.

I woke up at 6.00AM this morning, steamed a few vegetable baos and faced my laptop to continue typing my Biology assignment. Classes at 10.30AM later and ends at 7.00PM. Nice…

Brief Update

My new roommate and I decided to buy new curtains for our room. So we dragged our housemate and a guy along.

We walked to two shopping centres just to curtain-hunt. Finally after ages, we bought one set and some tassels. My room looks fantastic now.

Then, it was time to pleat the curtains using hooks. The guy seems more pro at it than both of us. Why? I have no idea… I should sit and think about that.

Going to watch Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince tomorrow at Sunway Pyramid.

Been quite a busy week, assignments, homework, tea-making and all the junk.

I feel like eating…
1. Cangkuk manis fried with eggs
2. Chocolate Indulgence from Secret Recipe
3. Pancakes with peanut butter

I am planning to cook on weekends.

Saturday

Today I went with Subject X (who requested to remain anonymous) to meet up with Howard and Jonas at Sunway Pyramid.

Subject X and I went over to Sunway College, then took a taxi ride from this very kind Indian taxi driver who charged us RM4.00 instead of the usual RM5.00 to Sunway Pyramid.

Taxi Driver: You two are a couple?
Subject X and I: What??! No. No!!! No! We’re NOT a couple!
Taxi Driver to Subject X: Why not? Are you gay?
Subject X: I’m not gay!
Taxi Driver: You know, you mustn’t be gays and lesbians you know. Now, so many of them! You know, staying here *points out of the window* are two lesbians!

I had Sarawak laksa at this hawker stall near Sunway Pyramid. Tastes just like the real thing back in Sarawak except that it is RM5.00…

I realized that I am pretty awesome at plumbing. My apartment toilet bowl can’t be flushed for the past few days. That means I cannot *ahem* do my business in my apartment toilet. So I got rather annoyed and opened up the toilet bowl tank. I yanked at any part that could be moved and tada, I fixed the toilet bowl. Now it can flush and I can do my business.

Female Rights?

I handwashed my thick, fluffy bath towel today and I nearly broke my arms. Who knew that a wet fluffy towel could weigh that much? Again, I nearly broke my arms trying to wring it dry.

Had my very first Chemistry and Biology class today.

Went to Sunway Pyramid today to buy Vitamin E, which ate up RM110.00 from my wallet. I had a seaweed pretzel for lunch which, cost me another RM3.20 and did I mention that the taxi ride to Sunway Pyramid cost me RM4.00?

Dinner composed of Mongolian style chicken, sawi fried with garlic and rice… another RM9.90 flew out of my wallet…

One day, I spend about RM15.00 on food alone.

That means I spend RM450.00 a month.

Did I mention that JPA gives me RM430.00 per month?

I think girls should get more allowance than boys…

Boys can use one bar of soap from head to toe while girls have facial soaps, bath soaps, shampoo and hair conditioner.

I have other points in mind but I am not going to blog them out.

Update

Woke up at 5.50AM today to hog the bathroom. Mind you, I am sharing one bathroom with five other housemates. Then, we caught 7.40AM bus to Sun-U. I will be taking the bus everyday since Casa Subang is 2km away from campus.

Orientation, tours and etc. Then…BAM! Out of the blues, we were told that classes starts for us at 2.30PM, Malaysian Studies. Malaysian Studies lasted from 2.30PM until 5.10PM.

I was damn tired by then, had the Chinese cafe in Casa Subang send kangkung fried with garlic, sesame chicken and rice up to my room. Room service. I paid RM9.90 for that.

This is my bed…05072009949

This is my study table…where I am currently blogging from…05072009950

Sun-U Registration

IMG_1519 Yesterday was time to register in Sunway University College. IMG_1518There were plenty of JPA, Petronas and MARA sponsored students.IMG_1533 Then we were brought over to Casa Subang around 1.00PM to check-in to our rooms. It was a super long queue that ended around 5.00PM. Not to forget that it was freaking humid to queue up in the condominium parking lot.IMG_1539 And so this is where I am currently staying at, Casa Subang. Sixteenth floor.UP215394I share one house with five other girls. My room is air conditioned (thankfully) and I share it with some girl whom I have not met her yet. The living room is air conditioned and the bathroom has a water heater. Not bad I’ll say. IMG_1536Then, I went over to Mydin with my dad and sister to buy some necessities…IMG_1554After that, I went to have dinner at Gasoline. It is located at Ampang Lookout and overlooks the whole of Kuala Lumpur city. IMG_5432The view from the restaurant. IMG_5506A random picture while shopping in Pavilion today.

Pre SUC

P1000240So as you can see, this is my hostel room in Sunway College. Twin-sharing. RM6300 per month and fully air conditioned.P1000247 Whereas this is the cafeteria in my college…P1000241 I brought this guy over to Kuala Lumpur with me… Anyway, that was all a hoax. That’s my hotel room in Coronade Hotel and Food Republic in Pavilion.IMG_1469 I did some shopping in Pavilion.IMG_1487 I ate by the roadside…IMG_1468 I went to Dome…P1000282 I went to a bar restaurant just to hear some old man sing… but I had carrot juice which, cost RM11.40… slit throat price but nice atmosphere.  01072009943 I took lots of photos of my sister and I because she insisted. We were standing in the middle of Pavilion while camwhoring *inserts sweat expression* and well, now I am in the lobby of Coronade Hotel. I paid RM10.00 to use the wi-fi service for 1 hour because you see, my greedy mum ate rambutans when she knows she can’t eat rambutans.
