She sells seashells on the seashore.

Highlight of the week- (Tuesday) I put on retainers! Actually just one, the top retainer. Gosh, the first day it was like...."sheee shells sheashells on the sheashore"...need getting use to it. The second day went better and today, the third day, ah...I can say anything but you will still catch a slight "h" sound behind the letter s. Well, of course it would be hard to speak if you have a plate that minimizes the space in your mouth! I will need to take that out when I go debating the following wednesday...imagine if the judges go..."I don't catch a word"....
Tuesday- Finished my KH project! Took me two Tuesdays and one Friday to get it done. Well, I did this MDF pencil holder with mounting board. Easy thing to do. Oh, photo taking was today. You ought to have seent he girls' toilets, clocked with students primping infront of the mirror. I wouldn't set a foot into it even if you paid me at that moment. I wouldn't want to be considered vain.
Wednesday- Lenten Reflection. They had this father over to give a talk about Lent. We had to fast, just bread and water. In the debate team with Esther, Nisha and Kristen against 3 other teams from our class before I think they put us interclass. Once again in the team with Esther, Nisha and Kristen. No idea what's the topic. We get the topic this Monday.
Thursday-Supposed to go for RC telematch meeting but I didn't have any transport and Rhema claims that it was a waste of her time. Oh, guess we won't be doing any performance for the RC AGM because we were only informed that we could do our own performance on Wednesday and Rhema's not free on Wednesdays and Fridays I am not free so that gives us only Thursday (one day) to practice before the audition on 1st of April. We were given soya beans in science time today. Michelle treats them as if they were her precious.
Friday- Web Team meeting, actually they showed us how to do....Freewebs web-building. Hmmm....okay....piano and violin lessons today. Going for Pn Chen tuition later at 5.30pm. Made new prefects' uniform today. They had a tailor over to measure and because I was in the music room, getting my measurements, I came in 10 minutes later to do my maths test....but Pn Tan gave me 15 minutes extra to do. So did Rhema.

I "stole" something from kvys2000's blog

I found something interesting from kvys2000's blog. According to his blog, he stole it from Wandkey (think I spelt it right). It wasn't copyrighted so...can't say I illegally stole it.

The 5 Types of Students Other Students Love to Hate

1. The Show-Off Know-It-All
Okay, maybe you can't help being that smart, but there's no reason to show off. When you ask the most random question about the subject we're studying just before exams, and then pretend to wait for or think about the answer, before promptly answering your own question, it's not helpful at all. We know you're smart, you don't have to show it. So, quit rubbing salt into our wounds.

2. The "I really did not study" type

Ever heard of the student who professes worriedly before exams that he or she "has not studied for the exam" or "I was staring at the same page for hours", and then after exams, that's the very same person who gets the top result? I'm sure many people are quite familiar with that type. What are we to think if you keep on saying you don't study but yet you still get such good results? Some genius you must be.

3. The Shirker

The person who always tries to get out of doing any kind of work. If you have this kind of person as a team mate, good luck. While everyone else maybe working hard so that they can get a good grade for the group work, this shirker will be trying to do at least as possible. Perhaps choosing to only take on the most minor role. But in the end, the shirker still manages to share the good grade the rest of the team has worked hard for. Fair or not?

4. The Serial Copycat

"Can I borrow your maths/science/english...?" Ask that occasionally, it's okay. But, if you do that every single day, don't expect people to be so willing in handing over their homework. And what's worse then a normal plagiariser, is a copycat who does not just blindly copy the homework of others, but so skillfully does it, that he/she gets a better mark for it.

5. The Kiasu type

Kiasu directly translates into "afraid to lose". A typical kiasu student is the type who often goes around after exams, asking people how much they got, just to see where they stand, and who they got better results than. A kiasu student normally chooses a challenger who is of equal standard to them, not too high, nor too low. When the kiasu student wins his/her challenger in terms of exam results, he/she is not afraid to show that "I win you, nyehehe!" attitude. But when the kiasu student loses, expect sulks, grumbles that the teacher didn't mark fairly, or some small careless mistakes were made, the other person was just lucky... bla bla bla.

Surely, there are many other types of students that other students love to hate, this are just but a few. And of course, there are many types of students that other students love to love too. But, maybe we will leave that to some other time.....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I agree with all of it. It's so obvious that every top student in the class own any of this criterias. Reminds me of Mdm Falsy who told us in the camp that the only good friend of yours is your teacher. Your friend never happy with your good results. They always unhappy or jealous over your good results. They do not really want you to success. So this terms are always use to describe their own personalities.

The One Million Ringgit worth question, the author herself is of which criterias? hahaha... I wonder :D

Let's look around my friends before it comes to me...

First case,

I've friends who like to ask questions around and try to answer back seconds later. They feel so happy that other students can't answer. I tell you, the voice is so loud when they answer or teach the students. It's like in a cyber with all the students playing Dota with the volume of the speakers to maximum and suddenly... FIRST BLOOD!!!.. or OWNINGGGG!!! What I hate the most is they say the persons that could not answer the answers are stupid or idiot. Oh well... I never want to get close to this type of people.

Second case,

Wah... this case always happen lor including myself. I always ask around whether they have started studying for the coming exams. Guess what they reply me all the times? "I do not study at all..." or "Urggh... not yet ar... not yet finish...So many things need to learn." But often when the results come out, they're often found among the top students, including myself. What's wrong? Some people are gifted with extraordinary intelligence. I ever talk to this with my friend, he told me that some people are intelligent when he just look at the books and able to answer the questions. However, some people spend hours to study and found themselves unable to answer. It may because of phychological effects of a student. My friend always say a person's intelligence is not determined by how he/she scores in the exams. They spend hours to study and they get good results. Some people just spend several hours and they good results. See the difference? This is quite ok, I do not hate them or find them irritates because I'm one of them. What I hate the most is those who say they are really prepared for it and tell the whole world that they guarantee get excellent results even before the release of the results. IRRITATING!

Third case,

I'm not sure about this with group work in study. My friends always do their roles that we divide and agree among ourselves. Some people want to do the major parts, while there are always someone want to do the minor roles. This is quite normal. This depends on the leadership of one of the members. There must be someone leading the group then it's ok!~ But if for other things, I really hate it... There are some people who just do minor things but they really tell the whole world, I DO A LOT OF THINGS AND I'M IMPORTANT IN IT! This kind of people always contribute the less in the group work of range of duties but they often get praised or other people thought they contribute a lot in it as they always know when to act and when not to act. They only show to people they're working hard when someone special presents there but they actually DO NOTNING! I've few friends like this. I never praise them. I know who and who works harder and who and who works less... The ones that contribute the more is the ones that never show how much they've worked for it... unless they show it in a way of humorous.

Forth case,

Wah... this things a lot lor... happen among my friends. Almost everyday, can say... a group of us borrow each other homeworks to copy. They're so smart, they do not blindly copy... My friends often borrow my works to copy... sometimes I borrow theirs. Can't really blame! There are a few of my friends who just blindly copy everyday and their main objective? I FINISH MY HOMEWORKS! Some who try to understand before copy. I feel unfair when that person who copies is really free but he does not do the homeworks but opt to copy. It's ok with me when the person copy just to finish the homework after hours of trying to solve the homeworks or have a lot of things to do and unable to finish homeoworks. What to do? Parents send their children to tuitions. I've few friends who hardly find any free time to complete their homeworks. They have tutitions everday, afternoon and night. Why struggle so hard? I always say NO for TUITIONS. It's a waste of money....

Fifth case,

Kiasu type? I guess we watch a lot of Singapore movies and we get influenced by them. We're KIASU... yet in different ways. I can say that every one of us has this criteria or planted KIASU in the mind. It's all depends on the level of kiasuness... Some people just don't want to be so behind or lose. But some people make a big deal out of a small issue. I've many friends who will sure and guarantee walk around asking for people's marks when a result of a subject is released. They're waiting eagerly for the teacher to read out the marks. If the students only up to this level, it's ok... but if my friends who own higher level than this, it irritates me! Some of my friends who always laugh at someone who have lower marks than them... some who darely say to the people in front of the students, "Ha... You lose to me.. say more kok! Diam la you..." Even by a single mark, they make a big issue out of it. When they get lower marks, they say the teachers don't know how to teach or marks their exams. They give out 1001 reasons why they get such marks... they might as well compose a book, 1001 REASONS WHY STUDENTS GET LOWER MARKS IN EXAMINATION. They often tease the students who lose to them... My advice? Don't be too proud of your marks as you never know who is smarter than you, you never know how long you will remain on top and you will never know you actually planted the most effective phychological enzymes that can drive the person to achieve higher and greater results than you!

So which type am I in?

A combination of everything? Hmmmm...don't think so! One of a kind! How many of me's' can you find? One, one, one! Not the kiasu type, I don't go around class with a calculator *ahem*. Neh, really I don't. I really on other kiasu-syndrome students to count then I just go, "eh, what did I get hah?". I'm the one who watches tv and goes online while reading a school textbook. The one who makes many careless mistakes then goes, "how can I be so blind!" and complains about having to go "longpiak".

In any other way, we always have someone who hates us... it may because of jealousy or our attitudes. It's good if we pay more attention and be observant toward our friends... get to know their impression on us, their feelings on us and what they think of us... then we know ourselves better...

Monday Blues

Read several chapters of Form1 Geography for revision while listening to Jay Chou again and ate some Jacobs. Ah, class photo taking is two days from today. Michelle has two extra days now to grow her hair. That is if it really happens. Chai was like, "I teach you how! You pull your back hair to the front and pin it or you cut it!" Hahaha. There was like, "can use wig!" I was like "pin it all up! or better still, gel like Jay Chou." Oh, tomorrow I got role call at 7am for Unit Sosial. Wonder what would Sosial be like. Oh, I accidentally mutated a photo today.

Freak accident!!!

We were driving down the road, that very turn into the Lorong G and F area at BDC, at that very spot we witnessed this horribly graphic accident. This electric blue proton saga ramns into the tree and was sliced practically into half by the tree. There were four men insidem around the age of twenty plus I should say. One of them crawled out, moaning and there was blood everywhere. One of them was trapped inside the car, he wasn't moving. The third one was pulled out by one of the passerbys onto the ground and was just lying there mtionless. The fourth one, was motionless, two guys tried to go CPR and was rubbing at the guy's chest. But his head was just hanging onto his chest. My dad thinks he died. Then they took him off to the hospital in a white kancil. If he really had died....that I had witnessed death today.

Omg...it was awful! The car, the blood, the victims. I mean it is always at that spot. people should learn to be more cautious at that spot particularly when it rains. I just came home from theory class at IMH. Marie and Marilyn were talking about the Band F-E-S-T but Sam and I were saying, we would go for the Band F-E-A-S-T. Sam went all the way to buy food across the road cos Sam claims to be hungry but came back with just a coke and Aunty Jennifer was like, "hungry? want cup noodles or not???" Ugh, theory today was so ma-huan, had to make sure no consecutive 8ths and 5ths. Aarrrghhhhh.

Remix

Ah, just woke up at 11am. Eating Jacob crackers with cheese right now. One of my favourite snacks although many people think that Jacobs taste dry. Skiving off Mr. Allan's theory class later and going for string assemble instead. Today is Sunday! School tomorrow...haaihhhh...Better be a kuai girl tonight and study instead of going online. Mixing some songs up now, just to fulfil boredom. Never really prodded around with the audio mixer thing until now. Sounds like something out of Linkin Park after a remix.

Korean

Just came back from the RC telematch meeting. I'm a facilitator for the telematch thing. Teachers think I look Korean and I am quiet...that's what Pn Tan said...hmmmm.

Toilet bowl pencil sharpener

Highlight of the week- (Tuesday) Rhema and I were discussing about our school's toilets and then it went to the discussion of KH projects that we were going to do as Pn. Wong was talking about in front. Then...the two ideas just combined. We shall carve this wooden toilet bowl pencil sharperner that when you pull the flush thing, your pencils will go round and round (sharpened) in the hole. And you can place that in your bathroom so it matches perfectly in there. But as I was telling her, I bet if we made one of what we just said, I bet it looks more like a filter funnel than a toilet bowl.

Monday- eavesdropped in the toilets again...hehehe...accidentally. Seems like the toilet has became a particularly hotspot for eavesdropping...wonder why. Just overheard somebody claiming she looks like Amanda. Which, frankly speaking, looks nothing like it at all. Went for break duty and yet...hpmf...I had none... wasting precious 5 minutes of my precious break time.

Tuesday- started KH project. Guess what colour is my MDF boards...pink and black with these dark pink and lavender mounting boards. Started working at the new gate...finally demerited people after such a long, long wait...ahhhhhh...I actually went through the trouble to change for PJ and hmf...the half of the class didn't and teacher doesn't even bother.

Wednesday- We had to slice flowers up in Science today. Ergh...boring Chapter 4. At least the plant experiment thing brightened things a bit...we were more like destroying the flowers than doing experiments. I forgot to bring hibiscus flowers for Science well...basically I didn't have any so Rhema and I made the decision to pluck from the church. Guess what? They completely trimmed all the trees there. No flowers left...at least that was what we saw when we went there. When Cordelia and Julie went there...they found themselves a flower each. Sheesh. So end up, I plucked this ugly pink flower from the school grounds and so did Rhema and Mich. Zahira plucked....bunga kertas. Fascinating, I gambled in class today with Esther, Rhema and Wendy. How did we gamble? Lots of coins and the table but funny method of gambling really...without cards. More like betting. Esther won herself a bodyguard.

Thursday- Gambled today again. "Gambled". Coins on the table during BM time cause the teacher wasn't in. Another strange method today. Today Michelle joined in. I bet the entire pool first round and hahaha, got back this large sum. Ah...then I lost everything. Well, not my money. It's basically Wendy's. Maths tuition today.

Friday- No morning duty! No break duty! Woohoo! Rhema has morning duty only. Well, all the F2, F4 and F5 council members went for prefects' camp at Camp Permai. Christine, Rhema and I were discussing about student exchange and scholarships. Then came to ear piercing...came to the conclusion that if you feel like lengthening your ears...wear drop earrings. Christine was telling this story about this man who tried to see how he would look like wearing a nose ring so he put this magnet ear stud on his nose and when he inhaled, the entire magnet went down his nasal cavity. What an idiot. Blackout in school! Damn hot! Suffering from humidity. Piano lessons today, had this backache and played so stiffly so suffered the consequences of being blown off at for sounding rigid. Violin was okay, no blowing off. Pn Chen tuition today. Just came back. Got my name called so many times today...to answer this and that. Bet I'll get famous by end of the year. RC meeting for the F3 telematch committee tomorrow at 11am-12.30pm at the canteen. Got to wake up early again. I shall do my Pn Chen BM homework tomorrow when I reach school earlier.

School starts tomorrow...

Just came back from walking around nearby Lorong Lapangan Terbang and Green Heights. Did abit of music theory work and some maths. There's this question and I still can't crack it, asked Clay and neither can he crack it. Planning to go ask somebody else who has studied that chapter.School starts tomorrow...I better go get my school uniform and nametags ready. C'ya.

Conversing in chinese

Just came back from theory class at IMH. Samantha wants to buy the LCM exam book just because it has a nice cover. As usual, theory class ended 10 minutes earlier. Wow, the twins today spoke mandarin. Samantha and I were like..."what did you just say????" Shocking. Then I wanted to ask, "since when you can speak Chinese???" but instead I asked, "since when you are Chinese???" Hahaha, they were like *hmf*! Ok, that's all for now. Going for a walk. I'm in need for a sport to do this month...swimming or badminton or whatever. Ciao.

Ahem...

"Siapa Tunku Abdul Rahman?" asks Puan Chen.
"Itu...itu...orang yang (looks down and bm paper and reads)...yang menuntut kemerdekaan," replies this Chinese boy who got asked.
Just came back from Puan Chen, around 9.20pm there. Ate dinner (instant noodles actually), did my homework from Puan Chen. Haven't read the sample essays yet. Today we did 2005 PMR papers, not bad la. I reached tuition at 5.30 today...first...haiz...so early. Same as last week again, Puan Chen went...
"Joshua, kamu buat kerja dimana?" (this week)
"Joshua, kamu buat kerja dalam kereta?" (last week)
Ya, sure as if. He's like extremely smart, bet extra hardworking. Who knows. Yay, Audrey no longer disturbs me...finally peace...no more slapping me on the arm when she hears a specific name.
Piano and violin today. Got the aural section wrong, argh....it was 20th Century and I said it was Baroque....Mrs. Ling gave this cold stare...."baroque??" Violin okay for today, new piece, Ain't Misbehavin'.
Hmmm...pretty much that's all...ciao...

You wanna go 'ham' ??

"Ni yao chi 'ham' ma?" asked Eric.
"Ham?" --I was so blurr-
"CAMP!"

Hahahaha! What a strange thing to hear. Ok, just came back from tuition at 9.15pm. Did algebraic. Came home, had my dinner and did abit of maths. Then went online. Sigh, was like so bored this afternoon. Should have gone to the movies with either one of the groups or person that invited me. But troublesome lar, I turned down so many invites already. If run into either one it will be like....eh, Gabrielle! What are you doing here! Then, so many questions to answer. Plus the Demie, Chun Hoe movie group already ran into Joshua who was with the KHS people and he asked me go watch Pink Panther and Underworld which, I didn't want to because haiya, busy and other stuff. Then Joshua smsed Michelle when we were in tuition.
"Were you the one staring at me?" (Joshua)
"Were you the one in pink with blonde hair? You think Mich that hiao ha?" (I replied for Mich)
Tomorrow go Puan Chen, surely see Joshua. I'll remind myself to go disturb about Michelle and SAB-ness. Oh, Joshua seems to be turning into a pretty often discussed topic....hmmmmmm....since 3 Mr.Lee lessons ago and 2 Puan Chen lessons ago after Audrey dragged the topic in when she went...."Gab......somebody---*secret*"

Cracked and still cracking

Ugh, woke up at 12.30 and in additional. Woke up with the shards of crankiness from yesterday. What spoilt my mood? That would be nothing of your concern. It's for me to know and not for you to know. Piles of homework, not exactly homework. Piles of books and papers to go through. I have eight sets, I repeat, EIGHT SETS to read through by tomorrow, including the settings. I have not quite finish my Form1 history yet. I hate Form1 history especially the part about the traditions. Euch. I have not done my Web Team biography. I have no idea what to do with it. I better ask Rhems when school reopens. She might have some idea what we need to do since Joanna's the president. I have theory homework undone from last week because I attended string assemble practice instead. Ugh! So many things to do. Why didn't I do them sooner? Like I knew they were coming. I certainly hope after today I get an enjoyable weekend. Yah, thank God I didn't agree to go to any movies today. If not...I would probably crack by the time I get home. Speaking of cracking, there's maths to crack tonight, math's tuition. Got to get going over to Eric's house at 5.40pm. Sigh...

Alcohol on fire and roasted pencils

Revising Form2 science. Crossed the part about decolourising the leaf in alcohol. Reminds me of the time in Form2 when my group set the alcohol on fire by accident. Oops? We weren't paying attention to it at all then it caught fire. My science book got showered with alcohol and Puan Carol was fanning the fire blanket over the test tube. Duh, we all got a lengthy lecture. Well, we weren't the only group that set the alcohol ablaze. Well, we had roasted pencils that Rhema supplied us with before. Sort of the way you would roast marshmallows. Basically, Rhema did the roasting and I did the watching.

King of Si Ai Biness

Woke up at 8am sharp. Showered, ate breakfast, practiced scales then...
"Gabrielle!"
Looked up and out, saw Danny by the gate, calling me deaf with Jason half hidden behind the pillar. Lucky he was in like bright colours if not, sure enough he blends in with the background. Gave Jason the tickets (Rm30 actually but I offered Rm20). One looked like he was going to school, the other looked like he was going to play in the NBAs.
"Why so cheap?" goes Danny.
"Rm50. 'Alang-alang' the whole wallet."
"Whole wallet no money."
Jason si-ai-bin, gave me this thick book, expected me to read it and then tell him what is it about. Like no way. I was only joking about reading. Like I want to do extra homework. Si ai bin! Left the book on the pillar, Jason told Danny no need to get, end up of course had to get larr...because I just left it and went back into the house.
Bothersome, they came at 9am! So off I go, practice piano then read abit of Science and abit of LOTR then back to the piano and violin until 1pm, had lunch then back to the piano and now in front of the computer.

Angels and Demons

Ugh, another post again, today. I must have no life, living side by side with the computer and a blog. I just finished reading the book I was talking about in another post. Anyone who is interested to read it ought to check out www.booksattransworld.co.uk and then check out your local book store. So let me do my own little book report now.
Robert Langdon gets this fax that has this guy with his head rotated 360 degrees with the word 'Illuminati' engraved into his chest and he has one hazel eye missing. Then Maximillan Kohler from CERN calls him up then convinces Langdon to come down to Switzerland through this X-33 chopper which is supposed to be some modern art of flying technology that takes only 1 hour to get to Switzerland. Then in CERN, Kohler shows Langdon some stuff around and Leonardo Vetra (the guy stamped with the Illuminati thing) whom, was old sprawled in a puddle of frozen urine in this really cold freezer room. Then Kohler made Langdon explain about the Illuminati, which is some old ancient cult that once consisted of scientists that disagree with the Roman Catholic Church at Vatican City. So they made this secret lair called the Illuminati Church and discussed forbidden topics there. Then Vetra's daughter Vittoria, some marine biologists appears and demands to see her father and demands why Kohler hasn't called the Interpol yet. Then she heads off to the lab and shows them this antimatter thing that is like some sort of super nuclear bomb that can just evaporate things up within this and that range of radius. It uses this eye scan, some retina pattern thing to allow only Vittoria and Vetra to enter the lab and the Haz-Mat. So then Vittoria saw her father's eyeball underneath the retina-scan at the Haz-Mat and realizes what had happened to her father. Then Kohler gets this call that the antimatter is positioned at the Vatican City and within 6 hours it could explode. So, they head off to the Vatican but Kohler was admitted to the hospital because he went into this coughing fit. ~I shall skip this part and go to the end, if I were to give the full synopsis, it shall be the break of dawn~ So they found the antimatter, actually Camerlengo Carlo Ventresca found it. Actually the Camerlengo was the one who plotted this whole antimatter fiasco. He had killed his actualy father, the Pope and Leonardo Vetra. He killed his father because the Pope told him, that he had fathered a child and Ventresca went really angry and asked the Pope how could he break his cilebracy (think that's the word). He poisons the Pope and then murdered Vetra. In the end he set himself on fire. There were two Popes elected, Ventresca and some other Cardinal. But Ventresca died of course, his ashes were placed beside the Pope. Then classical love story when Langdon fals in love with Vittoria. -The End-

Book reports

Woke up at 12.30pm today. Actually my alarm clock rang at 8.00am but I completely ignored it. I had snails for lunch. Are they snails? I have no idea. They are long slimy seacreatures in long plastic-like shells. I think they are called 'thek-thans'. My chinese is horrible, so whatever it is, it's not part of my favourite dishes. Has anyone heard of a Form4 who asks a Form3 for help in a book report? Well, apparently I have. Some old guinea pig asked me to help in the book report because he has no idea what is it about. Sheesh. Going to pass me the book tomorrow. Bet I will read the book and not tell a single thing. Then later, burn the book up, rip it in shreds. Okay, skip that. I'm halfway reading this book, Angels and Demons. Really nice. It's by Dan Brown. I think I mentioned it before. Ahh...St.Teresa, St.Joseph, St. Mary, St.Thomas didn't even make the Borneo Post for SPM results. St. Anthony did and Methodist High Sibu. Oh, speaking of schools. For Form6, my mum plans to send me to St. Thomas. Rhema's going there to. Rhema and I plan to write in to St. Mary to see if we can take SPM music classes there or not. Oh well, St. Thomas' F6 results are pretty good. Mainly due to lots of Kuching High students. So see first la, still got 2 years plus to Form6.

Alice in wonderland?

I completely forgot. I keep forgetting stuff. No wonder one day has so many posts. I keep forgetting what I needed to say. Okay, that day I went into the staffroom with Wendy. There was Miss Rita Chua, my dear old Form2 maths teacher who always goes,

"Gabrielle! What are you doing! Waaaaaaa...finish doing Chapter5 already hah! Waaaaaaaa...."

"Gabrielle! How are you! What are you doing!"

"Gabrielle! Careless mistakes! Knock your head ar!"

"Gabrielle! ~blablabla*edit me*blablabla~"

So, here's my conversation with dear old Cikgu Rita.

"Hi teacher! Miss me or not?"
"Of course miss you lah! But must remember me on Teacher's Day ar!" says Cikgu Rita.
~Mr. Tan Shu Hwa (Form2 sejarah teacher) interrupts~"Yah, must remember us teachers!" and mumbles something about Alice in Wonderland.
"Wah, Gabrielle and Wendy new haircut orr!" says Cikgu Rita.
"Alice in Wonderland" mumbles Mr. Tan about something and squeezes past us.

*rolls eyes*. Alice in Wonderland? What's is that all about. So okay, I got two teachers who still remember my 'good' behavior. Yeah, perhaps in Cikgu Rita's class. Frankly speaking I remember being a pest in Mr. Tan's class, not copying notes and talking until towards August when I started copying an aced his Sejarah test with a 93 and that pleased him compared to my usual 70s.

Before I chow...awww...my teachers miss me. *tears of joy*

Goody goody two shoes

Been such a goody goody two shoes lately. Done all my homework since the start of school, listened to teachers, talked less. Gosh, big leap from Form1. In Form1, you can call me teacher's most hated especially Puan Mordiah. Well gosh, I hate her as well so that makes us even. Been on a row with her before. Form2, can say I was teacher's pet *grins*. Form3, just the innocent prefect-on-probation. Well, exams are over. Long time ago actually but aparently, I did pretty bad for my maths. 88...horrible mark. Can't believe I made so many careless mistakes. If not, sure a nice fat 100 on my papers. Can you believe that my 6 divide by 3 equals 3? Gosh I am like blind..literally I tell you. I need glasses. Probably even blinder than Cedric who can't even read my old Xanga blog. Argh. Overal everything's pretty okay, range 88-92 so far. Haven't gotten back BM paper 2. Got to see what's on that. Shall die if I get another B. Horrible. Speaking of exams, glad mine are all over. St.Jo got theirs on 22nd March. Good for them. SPM results are out, Clay's sister got pretty good results, straight A's. St. Teresa got I think 17 straight A1's if I am not mistaken. St. Jo got like only 4. Dropped by 50% from last year. Apparently, Bio went from 85% to 65%. Horrible eh? I think that's all. Getting awfully late.

Rabbit's foot...

Who would have expected it that I had been reading the whole day since I woke up at 12.20pm after a nice cold shower. I read the newspapers, I read Dan Brown's Angels and Demons...halfway though and now...a Form2 sejarah book. Well...I'm not a bookworm if that is what that is running through your mind. Well, it's kinda boring going online now, hardly anyone is online. I took some weird What's Your Lucky Charm quiz that Chong and Siw Hua made me take. My charm apparently...is a rabbit's foot. Fascinating and who knew that heart shaped marshmallows fascinated me? Oh well, apparently I thought I had dental appointment THIS tuesday but apparently, it is NEXT tuesday. Well...and I told Teh I couldn't come because I had dental appointment tomorrow, oh well too bad. What's done is done. I still haven't found a nice BG pencil case, Jacob claims there are nice white and gold ones in BG at Crown's. Well...white get's filthy easily especially in my hands so...white is completely out. Perhaps light colours like light blue or light pink might do...white..I would need to consider that first. Well, I'm off searching for a new look for my blog. Apparently...(I seem to be using this word very often) light blue is boring me out. I'm looking for something with a nice bold colour and pattern. I am so bored, waiting for something interesting to happen right now is like waiting for rain in a dry spell. Hmmm...waiting for a page to load...taking ages, honestly it's bothersome.

A goldfish couple plus a blowfish excorter

Who knew that golfish date at parks? And who knew that blowfish excort golfish? Well, the apparently Danny and Amelia went pak-toh'ing at the China-Malaysia Friendship Park. Then off goes Jason intruding along. Guess what,he calls his two best friends goldfish cause he claims they look like a couple of goldfish. I shall remember this sentence. It might come in handy one day. By the way, Jason Chen is like so si ai bin....he thinks his 8-pack stomach is comfy just like a pillow, good for sleeping on.

Eavesdropping in the toilets??!

That's right...eavesdropping in the toilets. You got that right. Who actually eavesdrop there, especially me (sweet, innocent, studious prefect-on-probation). Well, I had stood in front of the full lenght mirror in the toilets for about 5 minutes, positively mesmerized by what I heard. Okay, there was this form4 girl Amelia that I knew and she was busy complaining about having pimples due to her new haircut to her friend. Do pimples occur because of haircut?? Oh well, skip that. So then, off she goes talking about V'day. It went something like this, "you know, my friend smsed me ar, he told me ar that he got so many valentine day gifts ar. Even got somebody give him Emilio Valentino shirt and bangles ar! I always call him from my window whenever he walk past cause ar, can hear the basketball bouncing so loudly ar!". Well, she was speaking so loudly that technically, I couldn't help overhearing. Well...duh...basketballs past her house, who would be so idiotic not to know that it is the Danny Wong. So, I thought she left so the first thing I told Rhema was, "did you hear what I heard?" and Rhema went "duhhh...it's so loud that I could hear it from inside the cubicles." Then when I was inside the cubicles, Amelia was busy cursing the two of us. Well, boo goes to her. She had always found us two little Form 3s as pests since she was in Form2. Oh well, at least we all knew about her her grabbing on poor William's hand in the bus. That was one memorable bus trip, which I will treasure forever.

Jungle Gump-man

Woke up extra early today at 8am for nothing at all! Waste of time really. Well, mainly because I thought the piece for orchestra would be real hard, and plus I planend to go offline at 11 pm last night to practice but oh no, instead jason took up half of my time until 11.45pm. So obviously nobody practices dead in the middle of the night. So I practice....practice...eat...eat...until 12pm, I went online. There was somebody complaining about a misfortune with some girl...boring...Then somebody crapping on nose picking...stupid... Then jason goes online...tv addict...i'm priceless and ur worthless....Then off I go to IMH for orchestra practice, played Jungle Gump-man theme...i tink thats it...can't remember. We had to do G major scales ...screeching of violin strings from the third violinists going all...eeeeeeeeeek eeeeek. Then from 4-5 we practiced. Melina's violin kept going out of tune so she keeps tuning. I kept poking some poor guy with my bow...by accident of course. Then at 5 i go home, planned to go for a walk but end up...i went online...tried to figure out where was the edit button...so boo to it. Kay hmm...practice piano whole day after that...trying to get Qi Li Xiang perfect (Jay chou!). Got invited to the Thursday movie with Teh, Jessie these people but too bad lar, I don't want to go because Mich n Rhems are not going. Then off goes Chun Hoe inviting me to I Not STupid 2. Oh yeah, Teh invited for Underworld. Both I am not going. So poor Teh is planning on going alone cos everyone abondoned Teh so awww....Kay..it's getting pretty boring... reading a sejarah blog now..."sejarah blog" actually. Ciao.

If I could Change The World

"If I could change the world, I would make everyone worship me." Those were the exact words I had once spoken. I know I had sounded conceited. Well, let me enucleate further...

It all began on Christmas Eve when I made a wish. I woke up early that day when my alarm clock rang at a quarter past eight. I went downstairs and everyone was already in the kitchen having breakfast. I could smell the crisp scent of cinnamon and hot chocolate lingering in the air, such a scrumptious breakfast.

I entered the kitchen and sat next to my brother, pouring myself some hot chocolate and grabbing a cinnamon bun. Just as I was about sink my teeth into the tantalizing pastry, an elbow past my face and a mug of scalding hot chocolate went all over the front of my jacket and slowly trickled down onto the floor with a steady dripping sound. I turned to my right and caught a glimpse of my brother's face with a derisive grin on it. He quickly dropped his grin as he saw me looking, turned away and hastily asked my grandfather to pass the butter. I sat there, dripping with hot liquid and gave him the nastiest and most impertinent glower that I could possibly muster. I saw that look and I knew that he did it on purpose, my brother had always been a royal pain. I swallowed back my animosity, excused myself from the breakfast table and grudgingly trudged my way up the staircase to change. I took each step as forcefully as I could, picturing my brother's derisive grin underneath it.

Upstairs, I was engaged myself to grumbling about my hot chocolate accident. My brother ought to worship me rather than treat me like I was his personal slave. If I could change the world, I would make everyone worship me. They would adore me and treat me I was their god, I thought, wishing it would actually happened.

I woke up suddenly with a start. I looked around my bedroom, it was very dark, my alarm clock showed half past five in the morning. I got out of bed and peered between the curtains. The sky was a deep purple shade with swirls of orange nestling in between. The mist hung heavily over the streets, which were dark and deserted, almost phantasmagoric. Occasionally a cat would streak across the hard pavement like a phantom. The wind howled between the lampposts, rustling up leaves and pieces of candy wrapper and paper. There were wonderful sounds of fountains playing in the air.

I stopped glancing around for a moment and frowned thoughtfully. The last time I commemorated, there were no fountains in the neighborhood. I listened carefully and there again! I heard the gushing sound of water. Still frowning, I headed downstairs and out of the house, into the cold street.

After I past a few houses, I stopped and my jaw fell open in veneration. Scrupulously, there was a fountain just before the junction. It had a magnificent live-size statue of some lady made out of gold and the details were frugally carved. It looked almost realistic, like she could just lift her foot and step down from the fountain. Underneath her golden feet, were rushing and gushing waters and by the feet of the fountain, were hundreds and hundreds of bouquets of fresh flowers. I took several steps back from the fountain and looked up at the statue, wondering who was the statue supposed to resemble and at the same time, marveling in the splendid architecture. I had a clear view of the statue's face. What I saw made me stumble back in shock and I tripped over and landed on the side of the pathway. I picked myself up, gingerly brushing dirt off myself and stared at the face of the statue, mesmerized and bewildered. From the long hair to the spectacles, to that very nose and very set of eyes, it was my face! My face! What was it doing there! I blinked several times and rubbed my eyes and the face still remained there. Nothing I did from pinching my arm to splashing cold water on my face got rid of that image.

After shock registered off, I couldn't help but admit that I did look spectacular on the fountain. It was a very artful piece of architecture and it suited the neighborhood well indeed. I was startled when I noticed that the sun was slowly rising above the horizon, it must be almost seven in the morning now. My parents would probably throw a fit if they found me out of bed and in the middle of the neighborhood at this hour. But, they would probably throw an even bigger fit when they saw the fountain. I rushed back to the house and hastily shut the door behind me.

I headed up the stairs and on the landing, I saw my brother standing there with his arms folded. I groaned inwardly, I knew this was coming, my brother would be spilling the beans to my parents that I was out of the house early in the morning and God knows what ridiculous cocktail story he would concoct this time. The last time I arrived home late because I missed the bus, my brother had concocted some preposterous anecdote that I was out with a gang of drug addicts, smoking pot behind the school. Of course, my parents had the brain not to believe in such a shaggy dog story.

"What are you doing out of the house so early?" he asked, leaning against the balustrade.

"I went for a walk," I replied curtly and pushed past him to get into my bedroom. He said nothing and went downstairs.

Fifteen minutes later, there was a knock on my bedroom door and there stood, my brother with a tray of breakfast in his hands. I was alarmed, my brother never ever even passed so much as a remote control to me, let alone bring breakfast to me.

"Here's your breakfast," he said, placing the tray by my bedside.

"What are you doing? Did you poison that? Is there cyanide in there?" I looked at him and suspiciously sniffed at the plate of eggs and bacon.

"Why would I do that?" came his reply. "I won't want to murder a god, it's not like I can anyway," he added and left the room.

I blinked in surprise at his retort and shrugged it off as I ate my breakfast. That afternoon, I decided to take a walk for a breath of fresh air. Once I stepped out of the house, this crowd comes rushing towards me and some even fell on their knees as they saw me. I was perplexed, who were they and what were they doing.

"O' gracious one! You are our god!" someone in the crowd shouted.

"We adore you!" another shouted.

I shook my head at them in disgrace. What a bunch of drunks, they must have had one too many glasses of wine at their Christmas parties and decided to pull a prank on such a poor victim as me. I waved my hands at them to get out of my way and too my amazement, they parted like the Red Sea. I thanked them for letting me through and carried on walking. They went on all fours and began kissing the grounds I walked on. I looked back at them in stupefaction as they walked behind me, following me like they were my disciples or something. I soon learnt that they were worshipping me as their god, they had built golden statues of me and had shrines where they gave offerings to me all over the world. My face had appeared on newspapers and televisions as the "god who walks the earth". It was obvious that they took this whole deal with worshipping me very seriously.

Now I am stuck with hundreds of poor people who believed that I was a god and worshipped me. They showered the ground I walked on with rose petals and kissed it. They bowed and fell on their knees when they saw me. They even begged me for forgiveness and asked for my blessings. It was a truly formidable experience for me. Imagine, everywhere you went, you had a crowd trailing behind you, like they were your shadow or something. It's frightful I tell you.

Well, if only I could change the world, so they would stop worshipping me. Well, unfortunately I can't unless another wish strikes again. So, I am terribly sorry how those people have to go to hell just for worshipping the wrong god. Thousands of sincere apologies for making that wish in the first place, I hope they forgive me. Well, on the bright side, my brother still carries breakfast to me. So I shall just sit back, relax and let the whole world treat me like a god.

A memorial to the late Michelle Helen

This poem is dedicated to the late Michelle Helen, whom we all miss and treasure deeply. May you rest in peace forever and be with God's love.

In Memorial

God calls from the heavens above,

"Daughter, it is time to come home,
Enter my kingdom, my beloved child,"
You answer, "God, I am coming."

And with that you left,

Faithfully answering God's call,
Leaving everything and everyone behind,
At such at early age of life.

No one had the chance,
To watch you finish secondary school,
To be at your graduation,
To be at your wedding.

Among us all,
You have seen God's perfect love,
Early than any of us could ever imagine,

Something nobody wanted,

We will remember you forever,
A part of our memory,
That smile and that very laughter becomes,
That very voice and character.

Humbly we pray to the Lord our God,
To lead you to heaven,
To strengthen those you left behind,
To keep a part of you in our hearts forever.

Dahlin you can only love one!

Just came back from my greatuncle, Alfred Hon's son, Eric's wedding with Selly at Shanghai Restaurant. The food was nice. There as the green beans incident where some lady didn't know that you had to pop the pods and she chewed the pod and she could chew it obviously! Cause it's like so old and hard. You got to be an idiot to pop the whole thing in. Then there were singing. This DJ guy in pink sang pretty well but he speaks horrible, typical Chinese-Chinese guys. Some St.Jo friend of Eric sang, pretty well, a few guys sang. Rather nice. Then Uncle Alfred sang this song and had everyone laughing. It went something like from number one to number 10.
"Dahlin you can't love nine,
Dahlin you can't love nine,
Dahlin you can't love nine,
And still feel fine!"
I have no idea how he could come up with such an idea that you can only love one and not two to ten. He had everyone laughing by the time he ended. Even he himself was laughing. Then they went around doing that 'yamseng' thing. So noisy. Overall, pretty good dinner.

a wimba web

Went for Red Crescent meeting today. Argh! Davelyn told me it starts at 10.15am so I arrived there at 10.00am and guess what? It starts at 10.45am. Victoria these people were upstairs arranging chairs for the AGM. So okay, I'm in Romania section. Rhema got placed into Iran or was it Germany? Okay, I forgot all about that. Skip that. So then we had this game, where you pick two representives as models. So okay, we Romanians picked Wendy and Maudia. So our theme was....mermaids, yah, MERMAIDS. So we had to dress them up in newspapers. Pretty riddiculous. Wendy and Maudia could hardly walk. Then Karen and Kim from some other section were aliens dressed all in MNG annd Guess and carrying SQUASH RACKETS! There was Libya who were angels and faries, Davenlyn and Intan. Oh yea, speaking of Romania, my section leader is Wendy and the assistant is Ervina. Another group was...what was it already? Oh yeah, desert people. No idea what, honestly. They had cactuses and male and female camels. Really hysterical, then what has "A wimba web" got to do with aliens?

Some holy stuff

Perfect Love

Our Lord Jesus Christ had suffered more than any of us ever did when He died just to save us. He was prayed for us, He gave up His life to be crucified just for us, He made promises that He kept and He had touched and healed many of those weak at heart. Remember how He was crucified next to two other men? How one man mocked Jesus and he was eaten by the crows? And how the other man who saw Jesus, believed in Him and Jesus took him to heaven as He promised?

It was Jesus' perfect love and passion for us that saved the world but why indeed, does the world commit sin? Why do man kill man? Why does adultery happens? Why do people turn away from Him? When we all know that it is wrong and we would be banished into hell for breaking the Ten Commandments? Though we all sin for we all have the Original Sin but why, do man commit all these when there's a voice that says deep inside, "God is watching"?

I close my eyes each night, say a little prayer, the same prayer I had been reciting since I was a little girl.

Angel of God,
My guardian dear,
To whom God's love commits me here,
Ever this night,
Be at my side,
To light and guard,
To rule and guide,
I lay my body down to sleep,

I pray to God,
My soul to keep,
And if I die,
Before I wake,
I pray to God,
My soul to take,

When I am in bed I fold my arms in a form of a cross and say,
"I must die, I do not know when, nor where, nor how,
but if I die in mortal sin,
I am lost forever."

Oh! Jesus have mercy on me,
Matthew, Mark, James and John,
bless this bed that I sleep on,
Four corners has my bed,
Four good angels at my head,
One to watch, and one to pray,
And two to take my soul away.

I am not perfect, I have done things which wouldn't please the Lord, Jesus Christ but I know that He forgives, He loves.

"I forgive you, I love you,
You are mine, take my hand,
Go in peace, say no more,
Beloved one."

I may have doubt my faith in God when things go wrong but it is only later when I realize that God doesn't just give, He teaches how to achieve something through hard work but He still gives.

"Lord, I am not worthy to receive you,
But only say the word,
And I shall be healed."

I may have fallen but I have risen back to power. I have seen what I can do just with the leap of faith and a time of struggle. I know where I stand among all but I know, that I am yet to rise.

"I can do all things through He,
Who strengthens me."

Things I see all come in a different perspective as before I knew more of Him, understood more. Now I realize, having faith is better than just showing up in church just for the sake of going. It is the sincerity that matters.
