Eczema: Thought it was “mushrooms”

I was itching like mad yesterday on the left cheek, neck, arm and stomach. Oh, I was bloody red too and I thought, “do I have some sort of fungal infection?? This is seriously one heck of a very itchy, very bad case of fungal infection if so…”

I went to show my dad, who said, “have you not been washing your face? People normally do not get fungus on their face.”

Totally redundant question. Not washing face=bad case of acne. Who wants that? Certainly not vain pots like me.2365_69571242626_801472626_2188166_3030531_n It all itches and even itches more when the wind blows. So I stayed cooped up in air conditioned rooms the whole day since the heat made me itch even more. That’s why I couldn’t go out today with Cordelia and the rest this afternoon because my mum insisted that I’ll irritate my skin even more. How depressing. 9 MORE DAYS LEFT IN KUCHING!

After my parents came back from work, they took me to my skin specialist. Unfortunately, his clinic was closed. So, we went to our family general practitioner (G.P) for temporary relief.

The G.P got brainwashed by me I supposed, that I have a fungal infection and an allergy reaction to the anti-fungal cream. The GP’s advice was simply to wash and scrub cleaner.

G.P’s word of wisdom:
“Just use Lux soap. Like me, hair also wash using Lux soap, face also wash using Lux soap, body also wash using Lux soap. Not like the ladies ah, hair must use shampoo, then got facial cleansers and this and that.”

I’m beginning to think that all males just use one soap for head to toe. So far I know 4 males who do so… my dad, my sister’s XYZ and Rich-Brat-In-Australia and my family G.P. I’m betting that some of my readers (males) do the same thing too.

Me: Rich-Brat-In-Australia doesn’t even have a SINGLE pimple. That’s so unfair.
Sis: Neither does XYZ. Furthermore head to toe use just one soap.
Me: Eh that’s what Rich-Brat-In-Australia said too.
Me + Sis: *exchanges =_=” expressions*

So my dad took me to one of my skin specialists this morning, Dr. Dominic Songan. He took a look with a big magnifying glass and declared that it wasn’t fungal infection at all. In fact, it was eczema.

Bla bla bla about my skin being very dry so I am likely to get skin irritations from time to time so on topical corticosteroids and a temporary cleanser. Then, I went to have delicious kolo mee at Sister Cafe.2591567782_0ec2470958_o
