Not So Career Talk

Just another random snapshot of some porcelain doll.

How was school for the past few days?

TERRIBLE.

Why?

Career talk, career talk, career talk.

All those university representatives do is yak, yak, yak about how good their university is. Isn't it a career talk and not a how-good-University X-is promotion talk?

Read History during the first talk, dozed off during the second, paid attention in the third and made paper boats and boxes in last one.

The first talk was by some fellow with broken English and was yakking rubbish about how good the university she represents is.

The second talk was by some fellow with equally as bad English and was trying to promote the university she represented by showing us slides of show fantastic Australia is.

The third talk (the only talk I paid attention in) was by some professor from Swinburne, a Bachelors and Phd. holder actually made more sense. He was the one and only knowledgeable speaker who did not bother to promote or talk about the university he represents. Not to forget, he speaks proper English too unlike all the other speakers and actually knows his stuff. That's the kind of speaker we should have in career talks.

The fourth talk was by some fellow with broken English. I don't remember anything she yapped about at all. All I remember was that she wore a black dress with white stripes and that it was so uninteresting that the four of us started to do origami with the papers she handed out.

Can't believe tomorrow still got more talks. Most likely to be by those type speakers who try die-hard to promote the university they represent.
