What do you do on a Chinese New Year morning? You go to the Seafarer's Nest, you find that most of your cousins are already there, absorbed in playing Play Station while the adults talked ahead about politics, economy, parenting and global issues. All the boring topics.
Then you spot the cousin who has probably lived in every part of Malaysia before and you had not seen her for almost a year. So you 'shake hands' with her while a monkey watches on.
Shrugs. It's a friendly gesture.
Then you realize that Japanese anime and a brown belt in Karate combo really takes its' toll on kids particularly little boys. Monkeys these days...
